Mergen TIM

General Information

Detector Training System MERGEN TIM is an easy-to-use detector training system developed to minimize detector sweeping errors and to help deminers acquire correct sweeping movements by turning them into reflexive actions.

Developed for deminer teams regardless of the detector model they use, the system enables team commanders to conduct routine detector training activities, ensuring that the team is always operationally ready.

While the MERGEN TIM sensor unit detects fundamental detector sweeping errors—such as scan height, sweep speed, sweep wrist angle, and sweep arc errors occurring during detector use—it provides immediate audible and visual feedback to the deminers. At the same time, the team commander can monitor these errors wirelessly via the KUTAD software on a tablet and issue necessary warnings.

At the end of each training activity, all detailed results are automatically generated and reported individually for each user.

The system allows upto 5 operator/engineer to be trained at the same time.
